State Service Corps

National service programs like AmeriCorps and service years utilize service positions to address local needs. These service programs provide structured roles, living stipends, and benefits such as health insurance and childcare, along with activities and training focused on leadership, skill development for career initiation or advancement.

While a majority of national service and service years are federally funded through AmeriCorps or Peace Corps, an increasing number of states have created state funded state service corps, service years, or certifications for state-based service programming.

The following provides links to learn more about several state-based service corps and service year programs that are available in addition to AmeriCorps opportunities available across the United States and territories.
