Commissioner Highlight: Cameron McKenzie
It's time for a commissioner highlight! Today, we're recognizing Cameron McKenzie, a commissioner with New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service, and serves on the ASC Board of Directors.

- "I am proud to serve in the national service field because it represents one of the most powerful models for strengthening both communities and democracy. National service creates pathways for people from diverse backgrounds to step into leadership roles while directly addressing urgent needs in their communities - from disaster response and public health to environmental stewardship and education. In my experiences with AmeriCorps programs, state and federal government service, and through my involvement with the ASC Board and the NJ Commission on National and Community Service I’ve seen firsthand the many ways in which service can lead to tangible change. I’ve also seen the role volunteers and service members in building community capacity, strengthen local institutions, and create lasting cultures of stewardship and intergenerational change. I am especially proud to work in a field that recognizes that the people closest to environmental and social challenges are often closest to their solutions."
Thank you for your service, Cameron!
