Action Alert: Thank the Senate and House for Supporting the CORPS Act & National Service in 2020

October 15, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

The States for Service Coalition is teaming up with Service Year Alliance to thank key Members of Congress for their support of AmeriCorps and national service in 2020.

Please help us thank the 18 bipartisan Senate Co-sponsors of the CORPS Act (S.3964) as well as House Leadership for including a much-needed and substantial $350 million proposal to expand AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Seniors, State Commissions, and the Volunteer Generation Fund in the second version of the HEROES Act that was passed in early October.

Take action now & share with your networks:

*Note: please enter your home address and personal email (and use non-federal time)

It takes 5 minutes or less to email and tweet.

The deadline to take action is Friday, November 20th.

Please note: This campaign requires personalization. You will need to add an introductory sentence about yourself and why you support AmeriCorps/national service before sending.

(Example: "Hi, my name is ____ and I'm a proud Commissioner/Board member/AmeriCorps program director/AmeriCorps Alum who believes in national service because... )

Although we still have a ways to go to ensure full funding and expansion of national service in 2020-2021, it's critical that we thank our friends, champions, and supporters now and let them know we appreciate their support so far - especially as COVID stimulus negotiations are still ongoing.

Please share widely with your networks and friends.

You can also share on Facebook and share on Twitter.

Thank you!
