Commissioner Highlight: Anne B. Ciemnecki, NJ

It's time for a commissioner highlight! Today, we're recognizing Anne B. Ciemnecki, who has been serving as a commissioner with the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service for nine years.

A blue background of hands gathering together, white text reads "I serve because I am retired and have time to give to the community. When I was looking for things to fill my retirement years, I wanted to spend my time doing things that were important to me.” Highlighted is Anne B. Ciemnecki portrayed in a photo at the bottom right, smiling and dressed in professional attire.

Anne said, "I am retired and have time to give to the community. When I was looking for things to fill my retirement years, I wanted to spend my time doing things that were important to me. I retired after 30+ years at Mathematics Policy Research. Our mission was to use evidence-based solutions to optimize the measurable impact of public programs and policies. When I was asked to serve and the commission, I realized that it was a good fit with the work I had done for three decades. Finally, I enjoy working with and for young people. I try to make opportunities to interact with the amazing AmeriCorps members."

Thank you for your service, Anne!
