Commissioner Highlight: Baruc Lara, OK

It's time for a commissioner highlight! Today, we're recognizing ASC Board Member Baruc Lara, who has been serving as a commissioner with the Oklahoma Community Service Commission for 2.5 years.

Baruc said, "I serve because I believe service is a fundamental right that we, as individuals, should uphold. In a country that grants us freedoms, choosing to serve is the epitome of admiration. I have chosen to serve in AmeriCorps because it is a privilege afforded to me, and I hold the belief that my actions hold significance, both for myself and my community. I aspire to continue this journey for as long as possible through AmeriCorps."
