Transforming Communities Through Service: A Collection of 52 of the Most innovative AmeriCorps Programs in America (2005).  This compilation, produced by ASC in cooperation with Innovations in Civic Participation, features short profiles of 51 of the most successful and innovative AmeriCorps programs in 38 states.  Each profile in this publication provides the program’s mission and goals, a brief description, key innovative elements, contact information, and examples of the program’s success.  From mentoring children to patrolling public parks, national and community service programs are providing opportunities for citizens to play an active role in addressing community needs.
