Commissioner Highlight: Vanessa Diamond, VA

It's time for a commissioner highlight! Today, we're recognizing AmeriCorps alum and ASC Board Member Vanessa Diamond, who has been serving as a commissioner with Serve Virginia for 10 years.

Vanessa said, "I believe in national service and volunteer action. (Period!) I have spent my work career focused on building the volunteer and civic life in the communities I live in. As an AmeriCorps alum I want to help scale national service models, help support the member experience in my state, and connect the idea of volunteerism to our everyday culture. I know that my two years as an AmeriCorps member and years as a staff member for [an AmeriCorps program] were integral in setting a strong foundation for my career in philanthropy and service."
